HP 3301 help

Choose whether and when the HP 3301fdw answers incoming faxes.

Auto Answer makes the printer pick up fax calls by itself after a set number of rings.

Steps

On the Home screen tap Menu, scroll to Utilities and tap Settings, then Fax Settings → Fax Receive.
Switch Auto Answer on (automatic) or off (manual).
Set the number of rings before it answers.

Good to know

With an answering machine on the same line, set the printer to more rings than the machine. The machine answers, and the printer takes over when it hears fax tones.
