HP OfficeJet Pro 9730 help

Keep the HP 9730’s ink and printhead healthy.

Most ink and printhead trouble comes from switching off at the wall or from handling.

Steps

  1. Always switch off with the Power button and wait for the light to go out before unplugging. The printer then caps the cartridges so they do not dry out.
  2. Leave the cartridges installed.
  3. Keep new cartridges sealed until needed, at 59-95 °F (15-35 °C).
  4. Do not clean the printhead unless print quality needs it: cleaning uses ink.
  5. Moving the printer: switch off with the button, wait until all sounds stop, and carry it flat.
