HP OfficeJet Pro 9730 help

Clean or align the HP 9730 printhead.

Clean for streaks or wrong and missing colors. Align for crooked lines. Cleaning runs in up to three stages, about two minutes each, using one sheet and more ink at each stage.

Steps

Load unused plain white letter or A4 paper.
On the Home screen tap Menu, scroll to Utilities and tap Supplies.
Tap Troubleshooting → Print Quality, pick clean or align and follow the screen.
Check the page after each cleaning stage. Only run the next stage if quality is still poor.

Good to know

Still poor after cleaning and aligning: contact HP.
Do not clean when nothing is wrong: it wastes ink.
