Fix a wired connection on the HP 9730.

Check the network, the cable and security software.

Steps

  1. Make sure the router or switch is on and the network works.
  2. Check the cable is in at both ends. The light next to the printer’s Ethernet port turns on when connected.
  3. Check antivirus or firewall software is not blocking the printer.
  4. On Windows, run HP Print and Scan Doctor.
