Clean the HP 9730’s scanner glass.

Dust on the glass or lid backing spoils scans and copies.

Steps

Turn the printer off and unplug it.
Lift the lid.
Wipe the glass and lid backing with a soft, lint-free cloth sprayed with mild glass cleaner.
Close the lid and turn the printer on.

Good to know

Spray the cloth, never the glass.
Avoid abrasives, acetone, benzene, carbon tetrachloride and isopropyl alcohol on the glass.
