Clean the HP 9730’s document feeder.

Clean the rollers and separator pad when the feeder grabs several pages or will not take paper.

Steps

  1. Turn the printer off, unplug it and remove all originals.
  2. Lift the feeder cover.
  3. Wipe the rollers and separator pad with a lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water and wrung out.
  4. If residue stays, use isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol on the rollers.
  5. Close the cover.
