Scan from a web browser without installing software.

Web Scan is part of the printer’s web page and is off until you switch it on.

Steps

Open the printer’s web page: type its IP address into a browser. How to find it →
Click Network → Advanced Settings → Remote Scan and switch on WS-Scan. If missing, look under Web Services (Microsoft).
Put the original on the glass or in the feeder.
Click Scan → Web Scan, set options and click Start Scan.

Good to know

For several pages in one file, scan from the HP software instead.
